About Cawarra Cottage...
With 4 generous king-sized bedrooms with original fireplaces, cedar doors and mantelpieces, 3 with ensuite bathroom access. The 5th bedroom is quite small (previously an office) with 2 single beds, and easily converts to a king bed also. We do not charge for this bedroom in our rate. This home is situated on Short Street, Mudgee. Centrally located to Mudgee’s CBD and no need for a taxi home when in Mudgee as it’s within walking distance.
Built in 1866, Cawarra is an Aboriginal word meaning, ‘beside running water’ with obvious links to the Cudgegong River opposite to the house in Lawson Park.
...on the Park
The Lawson Park directly opposite Cawarra Cottage has walking paths and is bordered by the Cudgegong River flowing through it. This magnificent park has bbq facilities, the local Mudgee swimming pool and recreational facilities to suit everyone.
The Mudgee Community Markets are held at Lawson Park, on the corner of Church & Short Streets on the first Saturday of every month. With local produce, arts & crafts, second hand stalls, and much more.
